Andrzej
Andres, I’m inviting YOU to MY CITY.
Warsaw is my life. I was born here, live here and can’t imagine some other place in earth to do my personal existence. From the age as a child I really like to travel but during the years the first trips on the world were converted gradually to make professional skills on this field. That’s why studied in Institute of Oriental Studies in the University. Which University? Of course, Warsaw University. Thoroughly studying mysteries of different cultures at the same time I gradually was interesting in mysteries of his city. After graduation I started to think about the future as “Andres, what would You like to do, what are Your passion?, working 8 hours per day in big international company?, teaching language in the school?, making professional translations?”. Are these something connected with passion? At that time I realized that the Warsaw was a real passion. I discovered that unique opportunity to show, to explain, to present THE CITY as I’m regarding it to visitors, tourists and other people. And I do it still. Still with passion. During last 12 years of being as a Walkative Guide I showed Warsaw to more than 60 000 visitors from 109 countries. From all routes done it as a Walkative Guide I like the most Communist Tour. This is really exciting to explain the visitors who never live in this regime all things of our live that time. This is not only the question of explaining the history of the city under the communist rule. But also standing in front of some building as a typical living zone or looking to widespreaded streets (in comparison with pre-war times) or looking to our cars from that period today as a museum examples I’m able to present all economical circumstances of our previous life in big city completely destroyed during last World War and next rebuilt or built in a completely new way after the war. And additionally concentrating on final question, what happened in Warsaw in 1989 and if communism has still influence to us till today.
