The guide was incredibly kind and funny, and meeting her truly started my day on a positive note. The way she representing Bucharest made me feel confident and excited to explore the city further. She spoke with pride about Romanian culture, highlighting the intelligence and spirit of the people while presenting the history in a realistic and engaging way, along with thoughtful insights about the country’s future. The only unfortunate part was that I had to leave the group briefly due to an urgent situation, and by the time I returned, they had already moved on and I couldn’t find them again. I’m sure that if I had been able to complete the tour, it would have been one of the highlights of my trip. Overall, I would still highly recommend this experience.

Free Tour Bucharest: Old Town and Parliament

Julian was incredibly kind and engaging throughout the tour. As we walked between the sights, we had great conversations about football—he used to be a player himself, which made it even more enjoyable since it’s one of my favorite sports. Thanks to him, I learned a great deal about Romania’s history. What I appreciated most was how he structured the tour—starting from the time of the Roman Empire and concluding with the story of communism at Revolution Square. It was a powerful ending that really sparked my interest to learn more about that period. Overall, it was an amazing experience. This company truly has some of the most knowledgeable and competent guides. I highly recommend booking a tour with them.

Very Informative

We have been in Bucharest for a number of years and went on this tour with friends who were visiting. While, yes, we knew a lot of the details of the tour already, we were still shown new places and there were details that we had no idea about (school children being given a number which was velcroed to their uniform springs to mind!!). Ana was an excellent guide and kept us interested and entertained on a very cold day. Tip: If you are planning on visiting Casa Ceausescu, do this tour first. Apparently the tour of the house has become very sanitised recently and the contrast between the opulence that the Ceausescus were living in compared with the living conditions of the majority is no longer emphasised. Our friends said that if they hadn't gone on this tour they would have been wondering what was so bad about the Ceausescus!
