Hello, I’m Halia. Although I was born in a small town nearby, I consider Lviv my true home after falling in love with it during my university studies here. Back then, I would often skip lectures to wander the streets, using my lunch money to buy history books instead of food. That early curiosity grew into my profession, and after completing my guide certification, I began sharing the city’s stories with visitors. It has been a pleasure to guide with Walkative since 2017, helping travellers understand this place I care for so deeply.

On my tours, I believe it's essential to talk not just about Lviv's long and multicultural past, but also about our present-day reality. Explaining the context of current events and sharing stories of Ukrainian resilience is a meaningful part of my work. When I’m not guiding, my interest in history continues as I research my own family roots, which trace back to territories in modern-day Poland. I also enjoy reading, traveling when I can, and listening to old-school rock music.
