Chris
Hello, my name is Chris, and I originally hail from Toronto, Canada, before making the move to Berlin over ten years ago. I hold degrees in both Psychology and Biology, driven by a desire to understand people better, which eventually translated into my daily work. I have been leading tours in this city for about a decade, and I have been showing visitors around with Walkative! since 2021. What keeps me going as a guide is the social aspect of the job, as it allows me to constantly interact with different people and learn from those I meet.
Berlin is a place defined by an immense depth of history, and I cover a wide range of subjects on my tours, including the Third Reich, the Cold War, Prussian history, and local beer culture. Beyond the historical layers, I am continually drawn to the capital's art, music, and culture, as well as its nightlife and the fact that it offers over 180 museums. When I am not out explaining the city's past to visitors, my main focus outside of guiding is music. I have learned to play multiple instruments over the years, and I currently play in a band with a group of friends. In my remaining free time, I also read a lot.
